We Have Redemption in Christ!

Colossians 1:14; 2 Corinthians 5:17

Colossians 1:14:
“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.”

To some people, redemption is a theological word; to others, it has an affiliation with some denominations. However, according to the Word of God, redemption is a fact!

Our opening Scripture reveals that in Christ, we have redemption through His blood.

If you have a car and say to someone, “I have a car”, is that a promise? No! It’s a fact. It is not a promise that you have a car. Why? Because you have it already. Likewise, it is a fact that in Christ, redemption is yours now; you possess redemption.

Understand that redemption is your reality now; not in the world to come, but it is your reality today! What then is redemption? Redemption is a divine buy-back from sin and all its consequences.

In the beginning, God commanded the first man saying, “…of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die.” (Genesis 2:16-17)

However, man committed high treason and sold out to the devil, and the entire human race was enslaved from that day forward.

Then Jesus came according to Scriptures to deliver us from the dominion of the wicked one, and put us on top so that we can rule and reign with Him, in the realm of this life.

When sin came, death came in through sin. What is death? Death is separation from the life of God, which is the quality of life God lives and intended for all His children to live, that fine, beautiful life.

Redemption, therefore, is a divine buy-back, a ransom paid to secure freedom from sin and all its consequences, which include fear, lack, sicknesses and diseases, poverty and every such thing, once and for all.

As a child of God, you have redemption in Christ. God’s Word has said it, therefore, refuse to believe every contrary thing or situation happening around you. Know that what the word of God says is your reality.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” The man in Christ is a brand-new man altogether.

The very moment you got saved, you came into Christ; that is your spiritual position. If indeed you’ve made Jesus your Lord, you are in Christ, and the Bible says, “…in whom (Christ) we have redemption through His blood…” The price for our redemption, the blood of Jesus, was paid.

Hallelujah! It was a sufficient price to release you from that slavery that man was born into as a result of the transgression of Adam. You are now free! Insist by faith on living free from sin and all its consequences. Hallelujah!

Self Declaration:
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I make bold to declare that I have redemption in Christ from sin and all its consequences. Satan has been defeated for me and I have the victory over him every day.

Further Meditation:
Genesis 2:16-17, 3:1-24; Hebrews 9:12.

SOLDIER

The word SOLDIER comprises of two words “SOLD” and “DIER”

A SOLDIER is one who’s SOLD himself out to DIE for the course of the Gospel. A true soldier is one who’s ready to die.

2 Corinthians 1:9 says: “But we had the sentence of death in ourselves…”

The early Church were thought to stand for the FAITH even in the face of death, but the 1st century Church is being thought what to say to save their lives when anything challenges their Lives and Faith.

John 12:25:
“He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.”

I know we all LOVE the easy part, but this time around God is looking for men who are ready to PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE to the LAMB, with all their Heart. To stand for him even the face of Death.

God is still RECRUITING Youths into His end time Army…

Are you ready? 💡

APRIL 2021: OUR MONTH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Leverage Devotional by Pastor Segun Obadje Ph.D

You Have Victory Over Fear!

2 Timothy 1:7: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

The Scripture reveals that God has not given us the spirit of fear. When the Word tells you what you have in Christ apart from what you do not have, take careful note of the details and facts.

You do not have the spirit of fear, for God didn’t give that to you. Got it? Fear is of darkness and God has delivered us from the power or authority of darkness, which includes fear; so, as a child of God, you ought not to be afraid of anything.

If you have been delivered from the power of darkness, why then are you still afraid of darkness? It will amaze you when you hear some believers say things like, yes, they know that they have been delivered from fear and Satan but… Can you imagine that? What does ‘but’ mean? ‘But’ means, ‘contrary to everything that has been said,’ ‘a negation of what has been said.’ That’s what ‘BUT’ means.

If you believe that the Word of God means what it says, then why not go for the Word and lay hold on it. Hebrews 6:18 says, “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie…” God cannot lie.

Lift your hands and say “Thank You heavenly Father, for I have been delivered from fear and the authority of Satan. You have delivered me from the power of darkness, and You have translated me into the kingdom of Your dear Son.

Thank You Lord, for I have been delivered from the power of failure, from the power of sicknesses and diseases. I have been delivered from the fear of the future.

I have been delivered from the power of oppression. I have been delivered from the power of lack. I thank You Father, for lack has no power over me. I thank You Father, for sin has no power over me.

I have redemption, a divine buy-back from sin and all its consequences.” Hallelujah! That’s how to lay hold on the truth of God’s Word!!!

Fear is not of God; fear belongs to the devil. God can never be afraid, because God is always in-charge and as God’s offspring, you ought not to be afraid of anything. Proverbs 28:1 says “…the righteous are bold as a lion.”

You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:21 reveals this clearly, that God has made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. So, if you are born again, you are righteous in Christ.

So, the Scripture is speaking clearly of you, that you are bold. Say this in faith “I, (Mention your name), I am bold as a lion.” Whatever cannot be found in God must not be found in you.

Fear is not of God; it ought not to be found in your custody. Peradventure you have entertained it concerning certain matters of life, discard it right now. Take authority over fear in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. What God has given you is the spirit of power, love and of a sound mind.

Refuse to entertain the fear of the future, or the fear of the unknown. Take your reference point from the Word of God, based on your identity in Christ Jesus. You are a victor not defeated, triumphant not a failure, blessed not cursed, prosperous not poor. That is who you are. Believe it and confess it!

MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION): In the Name of th
